Sunday’s Silicon Milkroundabout event, previewed last week, was a huge success for us. We took five of the team to the Bar Music Hall in London for the first start-up friendly recruitment event and spoke to hundreds of designers, engineers, testers and more.

en, Barry, Martin and Ross

The day was rather hectic, but we managed to speak to some very talented and friendly people. If you attended and spoke to us during the course of the day then thanks very much. We’re very hopeful that our bulging contacts list will result in a some new faces arriving soon.

A big thank you also to Pete and the Songkick guys who put on a great first event. We look forward to the next one.

You can see our photos from Silicon Milkroundabout on our globaldev Flickr account.

Competition winners

Throughout the day we were collecting everyone’s details, primarily so that we could contact them and follow up with more information, but also to enter them in to our prize draw.

At the end of the event, Barry, Jen and Martin drew the winners and presented four lucky attendees with their prizes (in front of some very bright lights as you’ll see from our photo below!)

Grand prize: Xbox 360 Kinect

Syd Lawrence

A big congratulations to Syd Lawrence who won our grand prize, an Xbox 360 with Kinect. Syd, we hope you spent yesterday evening shaking your stuff in front of your new Kinect dancing game!

3 x Amazon Kindle 3Gs

Congratulations, also, to Arthur, Stuart and Ed who each won a brand new Amazon Kindle 3G. These are great little devices for reading books and blogs so we hope you’re putting them to good use.

Get in touch

We’ve emailed everyone who left us their details yesterday to ask for CVs, but if you’ve failed to receive anything from us, or if you couldn’t make it and still wish to apply, we’d love to hear from you.

Attach your CV and email jobs@globaldev.co.uk and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
